John McBride - Bodhran, Vocals

The senior member of the group, he is bound to have a senior moment during any show.
Within 15 months of taking his first lesson, John qualified in the Midwest Fleadh to compete
in the All Ireland competition.  Two additional Fleadh metals later, he’s also taught at the
Riley School of Irish Music and the Irish Heritage Center of Cincinnati.

Additionally, he’s performed with Erich Kunzel and the Cincinnati Pops for Celtic Spectacular
weekend feature shows at Riverbend Music Center, Cincinnati. He has been blessed to sit in
seisiúns around the country with some of the greatest contemporary Irish musicians. In
January 2005, John joined the Firestarters, and performed with that powerhouse Irish/Folk
Rock band for nearly seven years until the end of September 2011.

In 2009 his good friend and band mate, Ric Smith, asked him to perform with Two2Many at
the Dublin Irish Festival. Of course he gladly agreed and had so much fun that he continued
on with that group. In late 2011, John fully committed himself to performing with Two2Many
and has enjoyed every minute thereafter.

In 2011 the great Galway bodhrán artisan, Michael Vignoles named one of his drum models
after John. He has instructed Bodhrán workshops at a variety of Irish/Celtic festivals
including; the Dublin Irish Festival, Savannah Irish Festival, Niagara Celtic Festival,
Dayton Celtic Festival, Pittsburgh Irish Festival and Cincinnati Celtic Festival. 2012 marked the
release of his Kerry Style Beginner Bodhrán Instruction Video, which has received great
reviews by publications and contemporaries and achieved the Amazon ranking of #1 Best Seller.
